A leading voice in the push to solve the mystery of autism will be in Boca Raton for a one-night special engagement to share education, resources, and support to medical professionals and families.

The Autism Care Center is hosting a dinner with Dr. Temple Grandin serving as the keynote speaker.

Dr. Grandin, named one of the 100 most influential heroes by Time Magazine, is known as an inspiration to families living with autism.

The semi-biographical film,Temple Grandin, won Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

Dr. Grandin will share advice and ideas on how to help people living with autism unlock their full potential.

According to the CDC, autism affects 1 in 59 children in the U.S. at a staggering cost of$60,000 a year on average.

Proceeds go toward grants for therapy, programs, and camps for people with autism.

Emmy award-winning journalist Sofia Lachapelle of Telemundo will be the emcee of the event. She has two children living with autism and provides support to the autistic community through her foundation, “Un paso a la vez.”

The dinner is being sponsored by TD Bank, Therapies 4 kids and Project Brilliance.
