A woman’s dying wish came true in Riviera Beach.
The city went green for bile duct cancer awareness month by changing the color of the water in the fountain at the Riviera Beach Marina.
Sandra Price lost her identical twin sister to the rare disease in 2017.
She formed TanAngels4Ever to raise awareness in her sister’s memory.
The city issued a proclamation this bile duct cancer awareness month.
“It means everything,” said Price. “I’m fulfilling Tanya”s wishes. Before she passed away she said tell everybody about bile duct cancer.”

“As you can see, we turned the water green for the month of February to recognize what bile duct cancer is about, what to highlight,” said Riviera Beach Mayor Ronnie Felder. “It’s a rare disease, it spreads quickly, but we are here to bring awareness to it.”
The fountain will stay green all month.
TanAngels4Ever is hosting its 2nd annual 5k-10k walk. It’s at John Prince Park in Lake Worth on Feb. 15. The event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. proceeds benefit Cholangiocarcinoma research.
